Options for how your remote users can get support from you


We've tried to add multiple methods for clients to get access for support in our computer support solution. Logging in for remote pc support through our homepage is an option that's always available. Even if your server is down where you may have had links built for your users to access to get remote support from you.


They login for remote support by entering your viewer id number in the form on our homepage and click login. Upon doing so, the next page will display a connect button which they click on to initiate the download and connection.


You can send a pc remote support software link through email from our site or using your desktop email application such as Outlook, Outlook Express, GroupWise by Novell, Eudora, etc..


Email a remote support link from your user page or by using your own email program. This method for getting your remote desktop clients to start a remote pc support session doesn't require your clients to log in. The page that will open is the same pc remote support connect page from used in the option above.


Another option is to create and place a basic remote support URL link on your web site for your users to click on. They just have to navigate with their browser to the web page and click on the link to start the remote pc access and remote support session. If the same URL link used in the emailing option is used, your end-users or clients will not be required to enter a code.      


An executable file to start the remote desktop access and support session online can be downloaded from our site and placed on yours for your users to access through a browser for support. Alternatively, you could created a link to the support executable program to be downloaded from our site when your users click on the link. When the exe is run, a prompt to enter a code number, your viewer id, is presented to them.





The remote clients you are trying to provide support for on the web have the option to initiate a remote desktop support session from our homepage or from a technical support web page located on your web site that's been appropriately setup for your users or clients to go to if they need tech support through remote desktop access.


To start the remote support session that will give you remote access and control of their computer through the web, they need only enter the support code or PIN you've provided them. The number actually corresponds to your viewer id that's assigned to all accounts upon account creation. The number can be entered into the form located n our homepage or your technical support page on your support site.

This is only an option available to you, it is NOT required. The html code snippet shown and provided below can be used on one of your web pages on your site. No knowledge of html code authoring tools or scripting languages like JavaScript, PHP, PERL, ASP, etc. is required.


The web form is similar to the one shown above with functionality like our homepage's form for starting an online computer remote support session. Modify the colors and even apply style sheets to match you sites look and feel.  


All you have to do is copy and paste the following code into a web page on your site, it can be a newly crated page or a pre-existing support page, rather than a direct link.


The remote user must know the number  to enter (it's your desktop viewer id number) before they are able to connect for remote support. If an incorrect id is entered, the user will return to the page on your site.





Sorry, the system is disabled and the executable is unavailable for download until you have tested your viewer successfully at least once using the Test Viewer button in Step 4 on your user page.

Also note, if your end-users login for support through our homepage, they will receive a message stating you have not completed the setup of your account.

Login and start your pc remote support viewer if it's not already running on your remote support computer system from a previous remote support session.  Then, direct the end-user whom you'd like to support via remote control to open a browser and go to our homepage. Or, just email a remote support link. There's no configuring of software by the end-user at all for remote support - there's really nothing for them to think about.
