                </strong>
                <strong>Setup FAQs </strong>
Since just about all of our customers are also IT people, everything written will be assuming you, as the reader, has some working knowledge of networking, security, computer applications.

Setup Tips and Reminders

Your end-users connect to YOU when they login. They login with your email address on our homepage and no password. If you prefer, there's a login link you could send them via email or it can be placed on your web site as some of our customers have done. In the future there'll be a link to email right from your profile page but for now you need to use your email program.

<a title="On Demand Desktop Remote Control, Remote Support, Remote Access" href="http://www.4remotesupport.com/4serviceinfo/4conten_blank/remote_support_login.html"> Login 4 remote support </a>

A simple setup is required mostly for supporting computers over the Internet. For LAN support your ready to go right away as long as the desktops meet the requirement of Java VM needing to be present and functioning properly.
Since your probably an IT person, you'll most likely understand the basic setup requirements and that implementing them needs to be done just once. If your network conditions change you could modify your profile's IP configuration to match. Changes are done freely from your profile page at no additional cost. Other providers of remote support software and services charge to make changes for you.

<a title="Over the internet remote support" href="http://www.4remotesupport.com" >Over The Internet Remote Support </a>:

If you are remotely supporting desktops over the Internet, set the IP address in your profile to the public address of your network. In most cases, as you know, this is the address of your Internet router or firewall. Then just set a simple TCP port forward/port translation on your gateway router or firewall to your computer. You do not have to make any changes to the remote customer's or end-user's equipment - only yours and just once. The default port in your profile works fine and you could change it anything you like. The IP address and port number are used by your end-user's software when they login to get support from you. Remember, their computer to connect to you.
Once the above is set, start your Viewer and run the port tester and get a successful result. At this point your good to go for Internet support.

On The LAN and Private WAN Remote Support:

If you're supporting users on your LAN. Configure your profile with the IP address of your computer system from which you'll be doing support from. This IP address is normally a private address
subnet for your LAN (e.g.. 192.168.x.x,10.x.x.x,172.16.x.x through 172.31.x.x). Port forwarding doesn't play a role for LAN support since your on the same local network subnet.

You could change your settings whenever you need to. We don't charge our customers because you've changed ISP and have a
new IP network addresses or you support computers from another lcoation like a home office. You'll probably not change the port number often but if you do, just remember to restart
your viewer if you make a port change since that will be the current port your end-user or customer will be trying to
connect to. If your network public IP changes then you could configure a new IP address in your profile. Usually when
changing ISPs you'll get a new public address assigned. Other remote support services charge for IP address change - we
do not.

                    <i> Remote Support </i>
                </strong> using <strong><i> Remote Control </i></strong>
About 4 Remote Support 4remotesupport.com provides <i><a title="remote support software" href="http://www.4remotesupport.com">remote support software</a></i>, accessible from
the internet, for on demand desktop remote control support on the LAN, WAN and Internet through firewalls.
We ourselves have worked many years in the IT technical support field and still do. We know
and understand directly the benefits that online and on-demand remote support PC remote control
software brings. We know your pain . . . we've been there too. Troubleshooting over the phone
was just not the way to proceed and driving to a customer's site to cure relatively simple
problems was very wasteful on multiple levels. There were many times the customer was
simply hours away or in even worse cases, hundreds even thousands of miles away in other
countries. Those were some very long troubleshooting over he phone sessions. We shopped around
for online <a title="PC remote control" href="http://www.4remotesupport.com">PC remote control</a> support software solution and found the prices were just shocking.
Some were charging one, two, even three thousand dollars annually for a single seat or license. Some
vendors also charge for bandwidth usage as well. Since the boutique versions of on demand
<a title="computer remote control" href="http://www.4remotesupport.com">computer
remote control </a>support were so expensive, we went ahead and built our own online and on-demand desktop remote
support software solution. We've made our solution for computer remote support available to all other
technicians around the world. We've also made it affordable. Customer satisfaction increases tremendously when
response times shorten and time required for problem resolution does as well. Fellow employees who were not in the
technical field also benefited when we put together 4remotesupport.com and began using it to remotely support our
own end-users. We still use our own service on our LAN, through our private WAN, VPN tunnels, and over the
Internet. Other techs also found our remote support software invaluable since more veteran technicians were able to
help "the new guys" when they got stuck on a problem out in the field. We know tech support and the technologies that
company networks are built upon - we install and support software and hardware too. We have many many years of experience
installing, configuring, and integrating all types of IT hardware and software from numerous vendors. We hope you
take advantage of the 30 day evaluation to try our remote support service offering and find the service valuable and
worth purchasing. There's no credit card required for evaluation

            <title>Remote Support Software</title>
            <description>
                <a href="http://www.4remotesupport.com"> Remote Support Software </a>
A common type of on-demand remote pc control support software packages would be the stand alone applications. These come
in multiple flavors. One is a full blown application like the famous symantec software pc anywhere which I believe has been
for many years one of the best remote desktop control products for the enterprise for decades. The other type is one which
the technical peron looking to provide support has a piece of software installed on their system and their remote computer
user downloads an executable that's pre-programmed with networking information to get to the tech support person's network
and computer. The two software pieces then connect up to each other providing the tech support personnel with remote control
of the far-end computer on the web. Some of these ask fo addition security information and yet others do not. The drawback
to this type of softare is the fact that it's pre-programming is hard coded into the software. Usually the way to change
it is to purchase another executable. A more dynamic approach is to have the technician run a peice of software on thier
computer as before. It could even be a browser add-on like an active x control. The remote computer side could still be
required to downalod software in the form of a java applet or an executable but with both of these methods have the
network information required to connect back to the support engineer allow for change. It either can download with
updated information or can fetch the information required each time. By doing so the information is updated an not
static. this permits for a more dynamic and cost effective approach that addresses changes in ISPs or change of
              locations.

The ultamate goal of remote control support of computers is to save time. In most cases, by saving time the cost of providing the
service goes down. This tends to lead to more productivity from current staff thus decreasing the need to bring more technicians
into the support group. With technology developing as fast as it does and just about all market segments moving and changing
at speeds never before seen in the industrial history of the world the remote control approach lends to a faster more agile
    support work force.

            <title>Online PC Remote Support Software</title>
            <description>
                <a href="http://www.4remotesupport.com">Online pc remote support software</a>
Todays computer support market demands faster technical support response times. With almost every aspect of every individuals
jobs is centralized around computer use, downtime is a loss of productivity on avery corporate level. There are multiple
vendors providing solutions for remote support software service and software. Some with satic configuration and other
with more flexible designs. With the many vendors comes numerous methods for providing online pc remote support software
services. Many of which are web based and others that are standalone applications. Numerous vendors supply an ASP style
approach which permits their customers to just log into their server, usualy through a web browser interface. Then, their
remote customers or end-users whome they are trying to support remotely in turn login as well using the same method. The
remote user whom they are trying to assist by providing on-demand remote desktop support to also just login into the third
party server - this in simple terms is the ASP model for online remote support software . The remote user then enters
an email address or a special code on the site. Once that is successfully done, remote control software downloads to
their system. Some remote technologies are built around java and other are executable files that require the user to
click on run or open like a normal internet file download.

There other remote control software vendors that require the purchase of server hardware that's to be installed and homed on
their cusotmer's own network giving them that extra feel of security. Since the equipment and software is on their premisses
in their own data center they always know who has access to the server gives them added protection. In addition, having the
on-demand remote support software and server hardware located in their own office, allows them to meet certain standards imposed
by regulatory bodies such as HIPPA in the medical community. Remote pc control on the web in the medical community and
remote computer access in general is begining to be more closely scrutenized and regulated.

A minor timing issue was resolved and corrected. When 4Support.exe, the small downloadable program

Microsoft has enhanced the security features of IE7 and Vista. When IE 7 is run on Vista, the browser gets
even more secure than when running on XP. Many software companies, as done each time there's a browser or desktop OS
release, had make changes in their software packages and service offerings to accommodate the Microsoft's latest
incarnation of the desktop OS and browser. <a title="Remote Support" href="http://www.4remotesupport.com"> Remote Tech Support Software </a>
