Options for how your remote users
can get support from
you
Your desktop user or
clients can login for support from our homepage for remote assistance. They
just enter a code "a PIN number" for
remote support. The number is
your unique desktop support viewer id number
assigned to your account upon signup. They hit the enter key on their
keyboard or click the login button with their mouse. The next
page
will display a "connect button" which they click on to initiate the
small download and
connection.
If you prefer, you can
send an email containing a
remote
support link from your user pages on our site or the technician can
use their own desktop email program by copy and pasting the link into a
new email addresses top the recipient that requires support. Using this
method for initiating a
desktop remote support session doesn't require
the clients to enter a code. The clients are automatically logged in and
presented the page containing displaying the connect button to click and
start the session.
You
can place a html link or embed it in a JavaScript or other scripting
language on your
web site for your
remote desktop clients click and start a session. The same link
that's used in the emailing function can be used for the web page
hyperlink and this method for starting a session will also not require a
code or number to be entered.
You could place the
support exe file, that we provide to all our users, on your web site for
your clients or employees to download. On a LAN, it can be placed on
network file server or on the desktops of all users. With active
directory installed, it can be pushed out in a network login script or
using a GPO (Group Policy Object linked to an OU or Active Directory
domain).
When the small application for remote support is run by the user, it
will prompt them to enter your support code number.

Another popular option is to add a form on
your site that's similar to the functionality of the one on our
homepage. Using this method means your users can go to your site to
start a session. The html code is provided for you and it needs only to
be copy and pasted into a page on your web site.
When they click login, a new browser
window will open with the connect page loaded from our web site. Your
site will remain open on the original page from which it was launched
and unchanged.
The html code below, once copied and placed on a web page, will provide
a form for your client to enter you tech number and will look
the image shown above. The functionality will be the same as the
form on our homepagen above with functionality like our homepage's form. Modify
colors, fonts, text, or even apply style sheets to match your sites look
and feel.
You can place the following code on your web site rather than a
direct link. This will help deter random site visitors
from clicking on a plain link and connecting to your viewer.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, the system is disabled and the executable is unavailable for download until you have tested your viewer successfully
at least once using the Test Viewer button in Step 4 on your user page.
Also note, if your end-users login for support through our homepage, they
will receive a message stating you have not completed the setup of your account.
